We are a registered South Poll operation.  A decision that came after a mountain of research and many miles of travel. This breed has been a perfect fit for our goals of reviving our land and soil while producing tender flavorful beef in the process.  These stout, medium framed, slick, red, gentle cattle were bred for efficient finishing on forages alone, high fertility, easy calving, docility and longevity.  This heat tolerant cow has proven that they can also excel in cold northern winters.  The best representatives of four breeds: Hereford, Barzona, Red Angus and Senepol.  

South Poll cattle are fertile, sweet-tempered and attentive mothers.  They generally calve by the age of two and many will continue to calve for 15-20 years,  These excellent mothers have earned the nickname “the Southern Mama Cow”.
